New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at 8th North and Spring Street at 6:12 p.m. Friday. A 2019 Honda Pilot driven by Oralia Lozoya, 61, New Ulm, was westbound on 8th Street North when it was struck by a 2014 GMC Sierra driven southbound by Dennis Michescu, 18, New Ulm. Lozoya had head and neck injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Redwood County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday on CSAH 7 near 400th, just north of Belview. Dinny Yang, Raymond, was driving a 1996 Toyota T100 northbound on CSAH 7, said he fell asleep behind the wheel, woke up, over-corrected, rolled twice and came to a rest in the ditch. Yang wore a seat belt and said he was not injured. No impairment signs were observed. No citations given. The vehicle was towed due to more than $1,000 damage. New Ulm Police • Received a call at 4:02 p.m. Monday from Jefferson Elementary School about a 7-year-old girl who left with a non-custodial parent. With help, the school located the girl at Vogel Fieldhouse. The foster parents were contacted about the situation. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
