Brown County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a dog bite complaint on 340th Avenue, Leavenworth Township at 11:30 a.m. Friday. A 57-year-old man was bitten by a St. Bernard. He did not seek medical attention. The dog’s shots were up to date. A report was done for documentation. New Ulm Police • Arrested a 27-year-old New Ulm man for out of county warrants who was suspected to be on meth at 9:52 p.m. Thursday on the 1500 block, Payne St. North. New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old St. James woman at Broadway and 3rd St. South at 10:53 p.m. Tuesday. Charges of unsealed marijuana in a motor vehicle and open bottle were sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office. • O’Reilly Auto Parts reported $696.99 worth of parts were charged to what appeared to be a fraudulent account by a 22-year-old Mankato man at 10:11 a.m. Wednesday. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of State Highway 23 and Stearns County Road 33, Paynesville Township at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday. A 2022 Ford Explorer driven by Randall Gene Armbruster, 69, Sleepy Eye, was northbound on CR 33 when he collided with an eastbound 2018 Freightliner semi driven by John Steve Petron, 62, Rice. Armbruster wore a seat belt but was transported to a Paynesville hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Petron was not injured. Alcohol was not involved. The driver, who will be identified later, had critical injuries in the cash and was flown from the scene to North Memorial Hospital. Assisting agencies were Morgan Fire and Ambulance, Centra Care Ambulance and North Air Care. The crash remains under investigation.
