Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a ditch fire reported at 3:28 pm. Tuesday near CR 13 and CR 22, Lake Hanska Township. The Hanska Fire Department responded. The sheriff’s office said the fire is under investigation. A report was sent to investigators.

New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Madelia man at Franklin St. North and 17th St. North at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday. the man was cited for driving after license cancellation-inimical to public safety and transported to the Brown County Jail. Reports went to the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Blue Earth and Brown County Probation.

• Received a report at 4:23 a.m. Wednesday from the father of a 45-year-old New Ulm man said to be missing for a week and a half. The man was last seen leaving a residence on the 900 block of Valley St. North after getting into an argument with his father. The man was described as six feet tall, 230 pounds, brown eyes, black hair. The father said he was concerned about his son not having medication. He did not know where his son may be headed and did not know if he had a vehicle. Police said a photo was not available. A report including an attempt to locate was sent to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

• Received a juvenile trouble call at 7:14 a.m. Wednesday on the 2200 block of N. Broadway. A 15-year-old New Ulm male got into an argument with his father. Police noticed a fan and kitchen items damaged. No injuries were reported. No arrests were made. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
