New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 14th South Street and Franklin Street at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. Ann Marie Wagner, 63, Nicollet, was driving a 2016 Chevy Traverse westbound and did not see Daniel James Windschitl, 62, New Ulm, driving a 2012 Yamaha XT250 southbound until it was too late. Windschitl collided with the passenger side of the Chevy. He had minor injuries to his right shoulder, head and legs. Wagner wore a seat belt.
• Responded to a request by New Ulm Public Utilities to check on a man who didn’t look well at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday at 2201 N. Broadway. A 70-year-old New Ulm man refused medical attention and any other help. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• Responded to a report of an uncontrollable 13-year-old female at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday. Police calmed her down. Nobody was hurt. No damage reported. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• Arrested a 22-year-old New Ulm man for DUI at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota St. and 8th St. S. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail and cited.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Responded to a child custody dispute involving a Bird Island woman and Sleepy Eye man at 3:12 p.m. Monday on the 100 block 4th Ave. S.W. No damage or injuries reported. Police settled the matter. A report was done for documentation.
McLeod County
Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a two-vehicle cash at 3:08 p.m. Monday near Vale Avenue and 190th Street west of Hutchinson. A 2022 Dodge Ram driven by Jerome Karl, 62, Hutchinson, collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Karen Spaude, 69, Gibbon. There were no apparent injuries. All occupants wore seat belts. One vehicle was towed. Hutchinson Fire assisted.
