New Ulm Police
• Received a report at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday from a 37-year-old New Ulm man who said he is being slandered by social media posts about his medical records by a 34-year-old Marshall woman. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Received a domestic assault report at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday from a 36-year-old New Ulm man who said he was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend — a 36-year-old New Ulm woman — Feb. 6 at her residence on the 1400 block of North Minnesota Street. Police said the man had scratches. Reports were sent to the Brown County Probation Office and the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Received a lift assist request at 7:49 a.m. Tuesday form a 58-year-old New Ulm woman on the 1600 block of Sunset Avenue. Police said it was the sixth such call in four weeks. An ambulance was dispatched and transported the woman to New Ulm Medical Center. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old New Ulm male for loud exhaust at Cottonwood and South Bridge streets at 7:59 p.m. Monday. Police found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to a public assist call at 3:27 p.m. Tuesday at Washington Learning Center. A 4-year-old child was left at school. Parents were located at Hillside Apartments, 1513 Payne St. N. They said they fell asleep and did not pick up the child from school. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received a two-vehicle crash report involving no reported injuries at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday at North 3rd and Franklin streets. Jonathan D. Monson, 37, New Ulm, was eastbound on 3rd Street, driving a 2018 Ford F150 when he collided with Lana A. Thoms, 42, New Ulm, who was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse northbound on Franklin Street. Damage was moderate to the rear driver’s side of the Ford and severe to the front end of the Chevrolet.
• Stopped a vehicle at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday at South Broadway and Cottonwood streets. A 67-year-old New Ulm man was cited for no insurance. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
