Brown County Sheriff

• Received a report at 2:28 p.m. June 18 of a golf cart damaged at Sleepy Eye Golf Club sometime in the previous two weeks. No other information was available. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a report at 6:22 p.m. June 18 of a ditch fire on 200th Street, North Star Township. The property owner extinguished the fire. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a report of a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) crash at 150th Street and CR 10, Albin Township, at 6:45 p.m. June 18. A 16-year-old rural Sleepy Eye girl was airlifted for medical treatment after rolling the vehicle multiple times in a field. A report was done for documentation. No further information was available.

New Ulm Police

• Received a three-vehicle crash report with possible injuries at 20th South and Minnesota Street at 7:23 p.m. June 20. A 2018 Buick driven by Carrita F. Anderson, 42, Sleepy Eye, was stopped eastbound on 20th South in the inside lane with left turn signal one to turn into Applebee’s when a 2005 Chevrolet driven by Jason D. Holt, 49, Spencer, Iowa, stopped behind Anderson. A 1999 Dodge driven by Isaac T. Schwarz, 18, New Ulm, reportedly braked but hit the rear of the Chevrolet that hit the rear of the Buick. Damage was moderate to the Buick and Chevrolet and severe to the Dodge. Holt reported a possible leg injury and three passengers in the Buick reported possible injuries. All were cleared by ambulance and nobody was transferred.

• Received a criminal damage to property report at 1108 Spring St. N. at 4:58 p.m. June 18. A 73-year-old New Ulm man reported his vehicle was hit by a flagman’s stop sign at 1st North and Front. A flag operator denied saying it was intentional, saying he was trying to avoid the driver who he said did not stop. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office. Damage to the vehicle was minor.

• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 7th St. N. and Broadway at 12:11 a.m. June 19. An 18-year-old New Ulm male and a 17-year-old New Ulm male were cited for fifth-degree controlled substance possession, small amount of marijuana, in a motor vehicle and the driver was cited for speeding. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 2526 Bridge St. S. at 9 p.m. June 19. A 26-year-old New Ulm man was cited for driving after revocation and no insurance. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle at 1st St. S. and German at 9:59 p.m. June 19. A 37-year-old New Ulm man was cited for marijuana possession in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Received a call from a resident at 1101 Valley St. S. at 11:54 a.m. June 20 about a tire that came off a vehicle and hit siding and the gutter of a residence. A report was done for documentation.

Sibley County Sheriff

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on 180th Street (CR 15) and 447th Avenue, about five miles east of New Auburn at 9:29 a.m. June 19. Jaija McMillen, 30, Le Center, was eastbound on 180th St. when she lost control of a 2008 Mercury Milan and rolled in the ditch. She wore a seat belt but was transported to a hospital by Allina Ambulance for minor injuries. Vehicle damage was severe. The New Auburn Fire Dept. assisted.

State Patrol

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 11:26 p.m. June 19 on U.S. Highway 212 and 370th Street, Bird Island Township, Renville County. A 2001 Toyota Sequoia driven by Paula R. Ramirez, Bird Island, was westbound on Highway 212 when she ran off the road and collied with a sign and power pole. She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. She wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia Police and Ambulance assisted.

McLeod County Sheriff

• Performed a welfare check on Bowman Street in Stewart at 7:23 p.m. June 18. Nobody was at the residence. Deputies cleared with reports.

• Responded to a disturbance on Mowbray Street, Stewart. Buffalo Lake Ambulance also responded and transported a person to Glencoe Hospital. Deputies cleared with reports.

• Responded to a theft on 110th Street, west of Glencoe at 5:05p.m. June 19. A deputy cleared with a report.

• Responded to a weapons violation report on 90th Street, northwest of Brownton at 7:16 p.m. June 19. A deputy talked to individuals about the complaint and cleared without a report.
