New Ulm Police

Police responded to a disturbance at Oak Hills Living Center and New Ulm Medical Center Sunday. At 2:20 a.m. police were called to Oak Hill when 39-year-old Hopkins man suffering from mental health issues and under the influence of controlled substances entered a parked ambulance. The ambulance had been parked at Oak Hills and when the ambulance team returned to the vehicle the individuals was found in the driver’s seat. Police took the individual to New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) for a mental health evaluation. At 7:50 a.m. police returned to NUMC and took the individual to Brown County Jail. He was charged with disorderly conduct, making threats of violence to NUMC staff and police officers and tampering with a motor vehicle.
