New Ulm Police
• Received a call about civil issues over debts from a resident on the the first block of Highland Ave. S. at 4:09 p.m. Thursday. A report was made for documentation.
• Received a fraud report from an employer at 8:25 a.m. Friday at 1414 11th St. N. of a resident’s social security number being falsely used to apply for unemployment. A report was sent to a police investigator.
• Received a report at 8:24 a.m. Friday from The Journal, 303 Minnesota St. N. about a phone call from Tennessee from a man who threatened to place explosives at the Hermann Monument because he was upset about not being able to read an obituary online.
• Received a fraud report from an employer at 1:28 p.m. Friday at 1227 Hauenstein Dr. of a resident’s social security number being falsely used to apply for unemployment.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Received a juvenile trouble report at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Sleepy Eye Public School. Five juvenile boys were found inside the school. No damage was reported and nobody was hurt. No reports were made.
• Made a probation check at 813 Walnut St. S.W. at 7:09 a.m. Friday. A 24-year-old Sleepy Eye man failed an alcohol test, was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail for a probation violation.
