New Ulm Police

* Responded to a disturbance call at 200 S. Minnesota St. at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday. A 12-year-old New Ulm boy assaulted his father. The man did not seek medical attention. The boy spat and kicked two officers. He was taken to New Ulm Medical Center, then to Prairie Lakes Juvenile Detention Center. Charges included felony assaulting a peace officer-transferring bodily fluids and domestic assault.

* Stopped a 24-year-old New Ulm man on a moped at Minnesota and 14th Street S. at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges including driving after suspension, no insurance, no registration, no motorcycle endorsement, failure to change driver’s license address, no headlight, rear view mirror, turn signals, taillights.

* Responded to a fraudulent $24.46 debit card transaction at Plaza Garibaldi. The suspect was not apprehended.

* Recognized a 37-year-old New Ulm man driving with an active arrest warrant at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in the Post 132 American Legion parking lot. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for DUI charge consideration. The man was not detained A court date was set.
