NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce welcomed Elizabeth Taplin to New Ulm. Taplin moved from Mankato in July last year and then started in August as the new manager of Papa Murphy’s Pizza. She has been the manager of the Papa Murphy’s in Mankato since 2015 and when she moved to New Ulm, she transfered to the Papa Murphy’s location in New Ulm. She said the staff in Mankato is larger and the New Ulm location is looking to increase staff before the busy winter months. She said Papa Murphy’s has a pan pizza that can be made on the grill, for any grill masters looking for a new challenge. Papa Murphy’s is take-and-bake pizza, where dine in is not offered, so it was not affected too greatly by the pandemic. It had to close for a few days due to quarantine/exposure rules and took the chance to sanitize and clean everything. Papa Murphy’s is open daily, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
