The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped to visit the new Windings building at 15 Somsen St. Windings has purchased the building that used to house Elkay, and has remodeled and expanded it by adding over 10,000 square feet.

Heather Braimbridge-Cox, Chief Executive Officer, was very excited that Windings has been in business in New Ulm for over 65 years. In the past, Windings would purchase additional properties when they needed to expand. That is no longer the case as they continue to focus on efficiency and expansion. They’ll be able to consolidate operations in the new building, which was designed with efficiencies directly embedded. The new base of operations has meeting rooms with the latest technology, work spaces created for individual work and group work, and a production area that seamlessly flows from invention to shipping.

Seth Visser, VP of Operations, knew the building well, as he used to work at Elkay. He was well aware of the challenges when Windings tasked him with the expansion. Seth is known for delivering results and states that by the end of quarter three 2020, most of the company will be housed in one location. Seth was also aware that in order to fulfill the need of engineers and production, new HVAC and special floors would have to be installed. With those steps almost wrapped up, it will be a busy first half of the year as they begin the transition from all the other buildings. And that’s where Lesley Brellenthin comes in. Lesley is in charge of coordinating the entire move for Windings. Lesley is new to Windings, within the last six months, and is charged with consolidation of all the Windings buildings under one roof.
