NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at Jefferson Elementary School to welcome Julie Hull, Principal, and Jonathan Schwaegerl, Assistant Principal.

Julie was previously the Assistant Principal before being promoted to this new role. She was born and raised in New Prague, where she taught kindergarten for ten years. She also has a history of coaching varsity sports for both swimming and gymnastics. She received degrees from St. Catherine’s and Minnesota State University, Mankato. She enjoys education and being part of inspiring young minds.

Jonathan comes to New Ulm from Montevideo. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato. His first teaching job was as a fifth-grade teacher in Maple River. During budget cuts his position was eliminated and he moved to Lake Crystal. His previous administrative duties included his experience as principal in Mountain Lake. His coached baseball and basketball.

Both Julie and Jonathan miss their classrooms, mostly due to close relationships they had with their students.
