Last year, United Way preparers helped more than 560 individuals file their federal and state taxes.

Kiddo Art Sho at the Grand

NEW ULM — The Grand Center for Arts & Culture will present its “Kiddo Sho” Children’s Art Show from March 6 through March 27. This art show is open to children from preschool through 6th grade. Artwork must have been completed in the last year and can be of any subject. All forms of art are encouraged from finger painting to oils to sculpture and pottery.

Drop off artwork at the Grand Center for Arts & Culture, 210 N. Minnesota St., New Ulm, on Saturday Feb.29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Monday March 2 from noon to 6 p.m.

Children are allowed to enter up to two pieces of artwork each. All entries will be accepted. There is no fee to submit art.

When art is dropped off, the artist or parent will need to fill out a contact form and determine if they want to list the item for sale or not for sale. The artist will receive 70% of the sale price and the Grand will receive 30% for items sold at the Grand to help support our programming.

At least one blue ribbon prize will be given in each grade range: preschool and kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, grades 3 and 4 and grades 5 and 6.

An opening reception in the artists’ honor will be held on Friday March 6 5 to 7 p.m. Prize winners will be announced at 5:30 pm.
