Give Kids a Smile program
MANKATO — Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Dental Hygiene Department joins a statewide effort to provide free dental care to area children on Thursday, Feb. 1 and Friday, Feb. 2.
Concerned about the growing number of children who are unable to access needed dental care, Minnesota State University’s Dental Hygiene Department will provide free dental care to children on Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Feb. 2 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The dental clinic will be located on the campus of Minnesota State University in the new Clinical Sciences Building.
Patients seeking appointments for cleanings, x-rays, exams, and sealants should be under the age of 18 and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. MSU will also be offering free dental exams and x-rays for adults. Please call 507-389-2147 to schedule an appointment.
McDonald’s fundraiser for First Choice
NEW ULM — First Choice Pregnancy Services will hold a Fundraiser at McDonald’s in New Ulm on Wednesday, January 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. A portion of all food sales will be donated to First Choice Pregnancy Services, and volunteers from First Choice will be on hand to collect tips and provide information on the program’s services.
ECFE Gym Night tonight
NEW ULM — Have children who need to run off some extra energy? Join us for Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) Family Gym Night. Family Gym Night provides an indoor space for kids to scooter, jump, play ball, use riding toys, and lots more. Join us at the Washington Learning Center 6-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5. This is a free family event.
Bedtime Stories
NEW ULM — Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) and the New Ulm Public Library will host story time for parents and their preschoolers. Each session will include stories, simple activities, and a free book for each child to take home courtesy of an anonymous donor in our community. Parents and their Preschools can join us on 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the New Ulm Public Library. This is a free family event.
