Friday, April 19th, Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School’s Claire Woller competed at the Minnesota State High School League’s Class A state speech tournament held at Shakopee High School.

Claire qualified for finals by placing first in each of her three preliminary rounds. In her final round, Claire was up against seven other competitors and was being judged by five certified judges. Claire ended up winning first place and was given an award of excellence from Trustone Financial.

This is the first state champion that MVL’s speech team has had since the 2021 virtual season.
