Evelyn Schaefer first princess, Malorie Anderson named second princess

NEW ULM — Lana Braun was crowned 2023 Miss New Ulm at Tuner Hall Saturday.

Evelyn Schaefer was named first princess. Malorie Anderson was named second princess.

Braun, the daughter of Joel and Katie Braun, said she plans to study accounting at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Schaefer, the daughter of Corey and Judy Schaefer, said she plans to study dental hygiene at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Anderson, the daughter of Darren and Nicole Anderson, said she plans to study biology but has not selected a college or university yet.

Other Miss New Ulm candidates were Daviney Dreckman, the daughter of Seth and Samantha Dreckman; Olivia Eckstein, the daughter of Joe and Mary Eckstein; Kaitlyn Furth, the daughter of Tom Furth, Amy and Clay Merches; Saige Isaacson, the daughter of Chris and Amy Isaacson; Jayda Johnson, the daughter of Chris and Amber Pelletier; Kaden Lund, the daughter of Jesse Lund and Darcy Uecker; Meagan Martin, the daughter of Jason and Brandy Martin; Abigail Rathmann, the daughter of Landon and Michelle Rathmann; and Mackenzie Weinkauf, the daughter of Mark and Kayla Weinkauf.

Emerson Wenninger was 2023 Miss New Ulm. First princess was Paige Madson. Second princess was Ella Friedrich.
