The Willkomen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Harold Enamorado and his new downtown business with a ribbon cutting on Thursday. The CALA Do It Yourself (DIY) Center opened in October. Enamorado and his wife Jayme also operate CALA Contemporary Woodwork. Enamorado said after being asked by many to teach woodworking classes, he decided to start a side business where individuals could build their own projects. The DIY Center is located at 417 1st St. South. The shop space is open for private events including birthday parties, baby showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties and group get togethers. Enamorado said there are several woodworking projects to choose from. He said the projects are great ways to have fun.
