BROWN COUNTY — A powerful storm hit Brown County Saturday, bringing the threat of tornadoes.

Rain fell off and on starting Friday and moving into Saturday, but by Saturday evening massive storm clouds rolled into the area, with tornado warnings going into effect for the county a little before 7 p.m. Multiple tornado warnings were issued for Brown County throughout the night. The county received significant rainfall in the evening, and high winds battered the area.

No significant damage was reported in New Ulm, but trees were reported down in Sleepy Eye.
