NEW ULM — A 8-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Saturday while riding an electric dirt bike on North Jefferson Street.

The eight-year-old boy was on a Razor electric dirt bike traveling west in the alley from 900 block Center Street. The boy entered entered the street from the alley and was struck by a vehicle.

The boy has not been identified by NUPD, but police reported the youth sustained multiple and significant injuries.

A gofundme page created Saturday for the boy and his family stated the boy was air lifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center with a punctured lung and underwent surgery.
