MCLEOD COUNTY — A 92-year-old Hector man died in a two-vehicle crash in wet conditions at 10:32 a.m. April 7 on Highway 15 in Lynn Township, near Hutchinson.

Marcel J. Mathison died at the crash scene. He was a passenger in a 2020 Buick Encore driven by Jean A. Anderson, 85, Hector, who was eastbound on 150th Street when the Buick collided with a 2011 Kenworth tractor that was southbound on Highway 15. It was driven by Matthew J. Wilder, 30, Alexandria. Anderson was transported to Hutchinson Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Wilder was not injured. Hutchinson Fire and Allina Ambulance assisted on scene.
