NEW ULM — Martin Luther College received a $64,400 check for their recruitment, student aid and facility enhancement campaign. The money was donated by New Ulm businesses and retired business owners.

MLC began the campaign earlier this year and has a target of raising between $15 million and $18 million for building a new residence hall and indoor athletic facility and assist students with college debt. Through this campaign MLC hopes to increase enrollment.

New Ulm businesses have benefited from the additional college students brought to the community, owners say. The money donated by the New Ulm business community represents the strong relationship with the college.

Andy Biebl said the school has brought a high quality group of students to New Ulm.

Jodi Marti called the student workers from MLC a blessing.
