Brown County locks doors, avoids face-to-face visits

NEW ULM — In response to increasing coronavirus cases nationwide, Brown County buildings will be closed from Wednesday, March 25 to Monday, April 27, according to a news release Tuesday.

The decision was made after much thought and input from county staff and elected officials. The health and safety of Brown County residents and employees was the driving force in the decision, the release stated.

The Brown County Law Enforcement Center lobby will remain open for limited contact with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and New Ulm Police Department.

County employees will continue to help the public via email, phone calls, and virtual visits. Brown County is working on additional ways to offer services to residents. Check the Brown County website at http://www.brown.mn.us for further updates and county contact information.
