HANSKA–Liz Jean Beranek, 44 of rural Hanska died in an accident on her farm on Monday, July 20, 2026. A public visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home- North Chapel in New Ulm. A private family service will be held with ennichement following in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Liz is survived by her husband, Chad Beranek of rural Hanska; her children, James “JJ” and Zoey Beranek; her step-son, Trenten Beranek of Brookings, SD; her mother, Lori Horner of New Ulm; her twin sister, Cathy Eckert of Staples; and her sister, Tina Anderson of Mankato.
