Getting ready for the Blast

It always falls within a few days of John and Phyllis’ wedding anniversary. This year they celebrated 35 years together.

With good music, good food and crowds of people in lederhosen and dirndls, it looked like Bavarian Blast was already underway during the Pre=Blast concert Thursday night at the Brown County Fairgrounds. The real celebration gets underway today. Here is the schedule for Friday:

Staff photo by Clay Schuldt The Optimist Club of New Ulm’s Cheese Curd booth was run by Susan Fix, Saige Wilfahrt, Josie Ringhofer and Terry Sveine. Sveine said they had possibly the best cheese curds ever specially brought in from Wisconsin.
