New Ulm Team Purple won the Heritage Award at the State Knowledge Bowl tournament at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd April 10-11. The team was seventh in Class AA (large schools). Twenty-four large-school teams competed in the Class AA tournament. Peter Spengler was honored for his record setting fourth trip to state in Class AA.
