NEW ULM — NUMAS Haus recently received a $2,000 donation from Nuvera and a $2,000 matching donation from CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America. NUMAS Haus is a local charity serving families and providing emergency shelter and support services to homeless single mothers, with school age children, from the New Ulm, Minnesota area.

“We realize that the communities we serve are not only ones we want to do business in, but ones we are proud to live in,” stated Nuvera President, Bill Otis. “In addition to company donations, we are always looking for new ways to participate and contribute.”

Nuvera’s donation was matched by CoBank through its Sharing Success program. Sharing Success was established in 2012 to celebrate the International Year of the Cooperative. Since the program’s inception, CoBank and its customers have together provided more than $36 million in support to charitable organizations across the nation.

“Sharing Success has had a broader and deeper impact than we ever imagined,” said Tom Halverson, CoBank’s President & Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted with the growing participation in the program by our customers, and deeply grateful to them for their assistance in identifying worthy charitable causes deserving of our support. We look forward to partnering with our customers once again this year and to sharing our success, in the best cooperative tradition.”
