ST. JAMES — One person died in an accident at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday at Mile Post 64 on Highway 60 in Saint James Township, Watonwan County.

A 2004 Jeep, driven by Derek Arthur Anderson, 35, of Marinette, Wis., was traveling east on Highway 60. A 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Lisa Jennie Brown, 44, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was traveling west on Highway 60. The 2004 Jeep missed a lane change when coming into the construction zone and collided head-on with the 2015 Jeep.

Anderson died at the scene. Brown sustained a non-life-threatening injury. She was taken to St. Marys, Rochester.

St. James Fire and Rescue, St. James Police, Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office and St. James Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
