Westcott honored by state Probation Officers group
NEW ULM — Evonn Westcott, an agent for 28 years and Brown County Assistant Director for nine years, was awarded the Minnesota Association of County Probation Officers Superior Service award at its banquet recently.
Westcott has been an exemplary assistant director and currently supervises various programs within Brown County. Some of those programs consist of Teen Court, Victim Coordinator, Chemical Dependency Assessor and Cognitive Skills, Interns/volunteers, LSI-CMI/YLS/CMI, REAM Grant.
One of Evonn’s assets is writing grants. Westcott has been very active in MACPO during her career. She served a President for fiscal year 2011-2012. She has been a member of MACPO Legislative Committee and chaired two committees; Membership and Training and Education. Evonn is currently an active part of USAC for Brown County.
