Brown County District Court

• Two counts of gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI, misdemeanor giving fictitious name to peace officer and open bottle charges were filed against Jolin Jaramillo, aka Animal Alonzo Hernandez, 29. Aug. 10. Bail was set at 12,000 with conditions. A hearing was set for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 24.

According to the complaint, New Ulm Police officer Matthew Rasmussen on patrol at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 7, 2021 noticed a vehicle eastbound on 3rd North Street, turn left onto Broadway incorrectly turning into the left turn lane, going the wrong way. Rasmussen stopped a blue 2004 Pontiac Aztek.

The driver said he had no driver’s license but have police a Minnesota Identification Card showing his name Anibal Alonzo Hernandez, which was immediately recognized as fake. Other police were called to come to the location.

Police smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. A passenger said Hernandez had been drinking. Hernandez displayed intoxication clues. He failed field sobriety tests, would not blow into a preliminary breath test instrument and was arrested for DWI and fraudulent identification.

A breath test read Hernandez’ alcohol concentration at 0.17 grams per 210 litres of breath.

His criminal history shows arrest records in Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Aliases he has used include Hernandez Alonzo Anibal, Encarnation Alonzo Ernandez, Anibal Hernandez, Anibal Alonzo Hernandez, Jolin Jaramillo, Anibal Juarez, and Encarnation Alonzan Ernandez.

In addition, his criminal history shows two different Social Security numbers.
