Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a report of a theft at 9:22 a.m. Monday of a Lazer level tripod valued at $3,000 sometime within the last two weeks, location unknown.

• Received a call at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday about illegal garbage dumped at Tretbar Lake near County Raod 10 and Eden Road, Eden Township. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

New Ulm Police

• Received a suspicious activity report at 1310 German St. S. at 6:38 p.m. Sunday. Police found a 24-year-old New Ulm man trying to enter vehicles. His probation agent was contacted. The man was arrested and taken to jail. A report was sent to Brown County Probation.

• Two girls reported being harassed by a female at German St. N. and 4th St. N. at 5:37 p.m. Monday. The callers had video and a license plate number of the suspect, an 18-year-old New Ulm woman. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of stalking and harassment charges.

• Received a call from an elderly New Ulm man living on U.S. Highway 14 West. The victim said he was called by man who claimed to be an attorney representing his grandson and wanted $6,000 sent to him. The man sent the money, then got another call asking for $4,500 more which he sent.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Were called to a disturbance at NUVERA, 121 2nd Ave. N.W., at 11 a.m. Tuesday. A Sleepy Eye man and woman were cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
