• Jeffrey S. Mordah, 55, 108 S. Broadway, New Ulm, was charged with felony 5th-degree drug possession-not small amount of marijuana Tuesday. Barbara K. Mordah, 49, 108 S. Broadway, was charged with felony 5th-degree drug possession-not small amount of marijuana. According to court documents, a Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville County Drug Task Force agent and other agents including New Ulm Police and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 108 S. Broadway Nov. 2.

As law enforcement approached the residence, an agent recognized Barbara Mordah seated in a blue, Chevy Cavalier in the driveway. The car was also listed on the search warrant.

In the residence, Jeffrey S. Mordah was found sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. Two other occupants were located in the basement. One of them, Damian Ristau, was transported to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center on outstanding Nicollet County warrants.

Jeffrey Mordah admitted to using methamphetamine the previous night. Many paraphernalia items and crystal-like substances were found that field-tested positive for meth in a bedroom. The Mordahs were transported to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center.

Items taken as evidence included a big with a crystal-like substance weighing 5.7 grams that field-tested positive for meth, a bag with a crystal-like substance weighing 2.7 grams that field-tested positive for meth, a brown case with residue and two glass pipes that field-tested positive for meth, a silver, digital scale that field-tested positive for meth, a pill case with 12 yellow, round pills marked “751-M, a small, brown vile with a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for meth weighing 7.3 grams, a black case with two glass pipes and another glass pipe, 2.1 grams of a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for meth and a needle with a brown substance that weighed .3 grams and tested positive for meth.

• Daniel L. Hup, 34, 33345 County Road 1, Mountain Lake, was charged with two counts of gross misdemeanor 3rd-degree DUI and petty misdemeanor failure to keep to right on roadway. According to court documents, Sleepy Eye Police were dispatched to a driving complaint involving a grey, pickup truck driving towards Sleepy Eye at 11:21 p.m. Nov. 9. The vehicle was reported to be all over the road and crossing the center line.

The vehicle was noticed stopped at the Freedom convenience store when a man exited the vehicle and began walking to the store, swaying and stumbling. He exhibited intoxication clues. Hup admitted to drinking. He failed certain field sobriety tests. A Preliminary Breath Test read .167 breath alcohol content at 11:45 p.m.A Data Master breath test at 1:01 a.,m. read .18.
