United Prairie supports FFA students

Submitted photo Mark Petersen of United Prairie Bank presents scholarships to Cassie Reed, Audra Bastian, Cassidy Platz and Justin Hendricksen.

NEW ULM — United Prairie Bank in New Ulm has partnered with the New Ulm High School chapter of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) in support of their fundraising efforts. Those funds raised paid off when four FFA students were awarded with $500 scholarships.

For the past couple of school years, FFA students have had the opportunity to sell raffle tickets locally and at the United Prairie booth at Farmfest. It’s been a successful venture for both parties.

“We’ve really enjoyed getting to know these students. They have a lot of passion for agricultural, as does United Prairie,” Mark Petersen, Market President of United Prairie, said.
