——–

An unusually interesting and instructive exhibit of wild fowl, including prairie chickens, ducks, geese, important department of the Brown County Poultry show at Sleepy Eye next winter, if present plans of Deputy Game Warden Tom Mason of that city materialize, according to an announcement made by President Frank Neidecker of Sleepy Eye during the poultry association meeting held at the New Ulm Commercial club rooms, Friday evening.

Show Dates Fixed.

At this meeting, which was quite well attended by local and Sleepy Eye fanciers, it was voted to fix the dates for the coming poultry show at Sleepy Eye on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, January 9, 10, 11 and 12, 1925. Secretary Miss Clara Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye was instructed to communicate with several competent, licensed poultry judges, from among whom one will be engaged to make the awards at the show.

Will Exhibit Pigeons.

Henry Fast of New Ulm, one of the most extensive pigeon breeders in this section of the state, will exhibit his blue-blooded specimens at the Sleepy Eye show next winter. Mr. Fast has about 100 different varieties, some of which are quite rare in this section. He entered an unusually large and interesting exhibit at the poultry show here, last winter, as well as at the 1924 Brown County fair.

Constitution and By-Laws.

G. C. Pickart and Herman F. Raabe of this city, who were recently appointed as a committee to prepare a draft of proposed constitution and by-laws of the Brown County Poultry association, submitted the result of their labors. After considerable discussion, the matter was again referred to the committee with recommendations as to alterations to be made, and new drafts will be submitted to the members of the association at a meeting to be held in Sleepy Eye, Friday evening, October 17.
