Erv and Sharon Weinkauf

Erv and Sharon Weinkauf of Forest Lake are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Jan. 7. They were married Jan. 6, 1973, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn, MN.

Erv grew up in New Ulm and they lived there together for over 38 years, raising their children, Mandy and Dan. Erv retired as the New Ulm Chief of Police and went on to head the Criminal Justice program at Concordia University in St. Paul. Sharon was an organist at Holy Trinity Cathedral for over 30 years and worked at State Bond & Mortgage Co., State Bank & Trust Co., and the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce.
