To the editor As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of this wonderful country, let us reflect on the blessings of the good Lords gift to live in the United States of America. Too much has been left out about the faith of our leaders. This Country has been blessed with leadership and thoughtful individuals that since the beginning believed that "all men are created equal". Over the years, men and women have fought and defended this Country to keep us free. Let us teach our future generations of the faith in the good Lord that has helped this nation through the bumps and bruises of wars ...

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Film Society’s (NUFS) musical series continues Tuesday, despite a 100% chance of rain with a high probability of singing in it. The screening begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at the New Ulm Public Library. “Singin’ in the Rain” was released in 1952 and is a contender for the greatest film musical of all time. To the editor: I want to congratulate the New Ulm Medical Center for being recognized the 13th time by Vizient as a top critical access hospital. This award is a credit to the entire NUMC team — from the custodial and housekeeping staff to the security team to the schedulers along with the entire medical staff — and it reminds us of their commitment to quality health care.
