A 1998 Chevrolet GMT driven by Dakota Steven Nelson, 27, New Ulm, was traveling east on Center, attempted to turn left and proceed north on Broadway, and collided with a 2013 Ford F150 driven westbound on Center by Rebecca Lynn Lang, 40, New Ulm. New Ulm Police • Took a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday from the parking lot at Riverbend Area Learning Center, 1315 S. Broadway. Police learned the reporting individual’s sister, a 15-year-old New Ulm female, took the vehicle while only possessing an instructional permit. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration of an instructional permit violation. • The New Ulm High School Resource Officer cited a 16-year-old male student for vaping device possession at 1:21 p.m. Thursday. A 2014 GMC driven by Joanne Palmer-Wolf, 89, New Ulm, was backing out of a parking stall on Minnesota St. when she collided with a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Virginia Kjelshus, 83, New Ulm who was southbound on Minnesota St. Damage was moderate to the left rear of the GMC and moderate to the right front and right side of the Chevrolet. Both drivers wore seat belts.
