18th annual NU Career Expo slated for March 26

NEW ULM - The 18th Annual Career Expo is 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. March 26 at the New Ulm Civic Center (1212 N Franklin Street, New Ulm). The cost for businesses to participate is $25 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members, but the committee is dedicated to having as many businesses represented as possible. There is also the option to provide prizes in lieu of a registration fee to use for the newly added Game Show/Storytelling activity. Also new this year, the Chamber is offering sponsorships. Total Landscape guest speakers for New Ulm Garden Club

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the NU airport with guest speakers Total Landscape in Madelia. The two speakers will tell the club about expansions to their business, including a greenhouse/nursery. They will be giving an overview, as well as what’s new, problem solving, and other helpful suggestions and ideas for garden. The meeting will include a Q and A session. The public is welcome to attend. Anyone wishing to join the club, dues are $5 per year.

2025 Home, Health, & Recreation Show

The New Ulm Chamber of Commerce and New Ulm Business & Retail Association are bringing back the Home, Health, & Recreation Show. The show will take place at the New Ulm Civic Center on March 28-29, and will feature nearly 100 booths of businesses and vendors who offer services to the New Ulm community. The show is a chance for the public to talk directly to the suppliers of products and services or show off products to your community. NEW ULM- The New Ulm Human Rights Commission is proud to announce the annual Human Rights Award will be presented to two recipients this year – Jeanine Hinsman and the Makatoh Reconciliation and Healing Horse Ride Host Committee. Jeanie Hinsman, along with volunteers, operates New Ulm’s Own which is a nonprofit fair-trade store featuring fair trade products handcrafted by artisans in developing countries and artwork created by local artisans.
