AMPI cheesemakers recognized among nation’s best

NEW ULM — Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) cheesemakers were once again recognized among the nation’s best at the 2025 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. Co-op Crafted® Sharp Cheddar, Carolina Reaper Jack and sliced white American cheese were each named best in class. The co-op’s Sharp Cheddar entry was made by cheesemakers in Blair, Wis. The newest award brings the AMPI Cheddar tally to 18 top-three finishes in national and international competitions within the past three years. MANKATO – The Bethany Theatre Department will present ‘As You Like It’ by William Shakespeare 7:30 p.m. April 4 and April 5; 2 p.m. April 6; 7:30 p.m. April 11 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on April 12. MANKATO – The Blue Earth County Historical Society is hosting it’s annual meeting on Saturday, March 22 at the Centennial Student Union at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Hub Club Farm Show door prize winners announced

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club held its 43rd annual farm show at the New Ulm Civic Center March 8-9. Nine adult and 10 kids’ door prizes were awarded at the show. Franklin Klinkner of Lake Crystal won the show’s grand prize, a Shop Vac donated by Runnings of New Ulm.
