Free Community Breakfast Saturday

NEW ULM — A free community breakfast will be served Saturday, Aug. 25 at First United Methodist Church on the corner of Center and Broadway in New Ulm. Come from 8 to 10 a.m. for pancakes, eggs, sausage, and coffee. All are welcome!

Sarah Steffel benefit this weekend

NEW ULM — A fundraising benefit is being held this weekend to support Sleepy Eye native Sarah Steffl on her way to compete in the Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas in December. The event will be at the KaBoy Up Arena, 24016 Co. Road 12, New Ulm.

Events start at 3 p.m. Friday, with a social hour, silent auction, cowboy games and bean bag tournament. Saturday events start at 10 a.m. with equine events, the silent auction ending at 3 p.m. and a live auction at 4 p.m.

Sunday’s events start at 10 a.m. with an equine trail course, a social hour and a check presentation.

New Release Movie at Library

The New Ulm Public Library will show a newly released DVD on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. This movie is rated R and runs 95 minutes. Free popcorn will be served. For more information, call the library at 507-359-8331.
