Thanks to George’s Fine Steaks

Community And Seniors Together Board members and Director Kathy Austinson want to give a big thank you to George Cottom for a very successful Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The funds raised will be used for senior programming in the New Ulm area. George donated the breakfast food and was our chef, while CAST Board members served and washed dishes. Over 130 people came and enjoyed breakfast and donated to the event. It was a good time of “community” at George’s Fine Steaks in New Ulm.

Historical Society Book Sale

The Brown County Historical Society completed a successful used book sale, connecting readers to recycled books and providing funds for the museum’s operations and programs.

We would like to thank the many people and groups that made this possible. Our dedicated volunteers ignored sore backs, new knees, and other ailments to collect, arrange, and sell the books. The BCHS staff provided support in addition to their ongoing professional work. The Journal, KNUJ, New Ulm Telecom, and NUCAT sent the message into the community. Most important, thank you to the donors and buyers who greeted this project enthusiastically and used the opportunity to visit the Popcorn Wagon and the World War I Exhibit. You made it all worth while.
