Drexler earns 17th Coach of the Year award
NEW ULM — Former New Ulmite Glen Drexler has been named the UMAC (Upper Midwest Athletic Conference) Coach of the Year in track and field and cross-country at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Drexler, who is in his 18th season as head coach, began his college coaching career in 2000 at Martin Luther College in New Ulm.
In his coaching career, Drexler has led nearly 40 teams and individuals in NCAA championships.
He has also coached three consecutive UMAC titles, including three consecutive cross-country and nine straight indoor track and field titles and four outdoor crowns.
Drexler has now been named UMAC Coach of the Year 17 times.
