SPRINGFIELD — Springfield defeated Red Rock Central 71-18 in a nonconference girls basketball game to open the 2025-2026 season.

Kendall Krueger led the Tigers with 23 points and four rebounds, while Olivia Milbrath had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Jada Reese had 10 points, four rebounds and three steals, while Molly Jacobs added 7 points and nine rebounds.

Springfield (1-0) hosts Wabasso on Tuesday.
