Four MLC XC runners make All-Conference

ST. PAUL — The 2025 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country All-UMAC awards were officially announced on Wednesday and the Knights earned four selections to the All-Conference teams.

Eliott Heiderich was the top finisher for the MLC men and took eighth overall in the individual standings out of over 0 runners in the 8K at the UMAC Championship last Saturday in Winthrop, MN. The top eight finishers get First Team recognition and Heiderich clocked in with a time of 28:00.8. As a freshman, Heiderich was named Second Team All-UMAC after he took ninth.

Levi Panitzke was the other MLC mens runner with accolades, taking 15th overall with a mark of 28:51.0. Panitzke was named Second Team All-UMAC. Heiderich and Panitzke were the top two finishers on an MLC team that placed fourth in the team standings at the UMAC Championship.

The MLC men’s team also took home the Men’s Team Sportsmanship Award and senior Elijah Hutchinson wrapped up his career as the MLC Individual Sportsmanship winner.

Sophomore Jemimah Habben placed third overall out of over 60 runners in the women’s 6K. Habben had a mark of 23:33.2, giving her First Team All-UMAC honors for a second consecutive season after claiming eighth overall in last year’s UMAC Championship.

Grace Hahm also collected All-UMAC accolades by being named to Second Team All-UMAC. The freshman placed 12th overall with a time of 24:50.4.

Habben and Hahm helped the MLC (74 points) place third in the team standings. Northwestern took first (30 points), while Crown (45 points) finished second.

Alex Manning was the Individual Sportsmanship winner for the MLC women’s team.
