MVL boys place second at Madelia
MADELIA — The Minnesota Valley Lutheran boys cross-country team took second out of seven teams during a prep cross-country meet this past Thursday.
Loyola/Cleveland/St. Clair placed first (38), followed by MVL (60), Madelia (87), Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral (92), Springfield/Cedar Mountain (118), Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin (148) and Maple River (180).
L/C/SC also took first on the girls side of the meet (21), followed by S/CM (65), MCW/BO (102), Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (107), Maple River (118) and MVL (119).
For the MVL boys, Titus Kohls placed third (17:42.12), while Jeremy Feistner took fifth (17:52.26) and Tucker Kohls placed 14th (18:54.68). For the Madelia boys, Caleb DeCann placed sixth (17:56.52), while Tyrone Stout finished 11th (18:27.61) and Ethan Christensen placed 17th (19:08.14). For the SM/SE/NUC boys, Max Fischer took seventh (18:07.77) and Raul Rodriguez placed ninth (18:12.95), while Levi Hagen finished 19th (19:24.74). For S/CM, Dylan Dewitt placed 10th (18:17.98) and Bryan Buerkle placed 13th (18:54.30). Juan Sunun-Perez finished 11th for GFW (18:18.49).
On the girls side of the meet for S/CM, Lydia Dauer placed eighth (21:30.89), followed by Farrah Dauer in ninth (21:32.54) and Katie Thram in 12th (22:06.50). For the GFW girls, Madyson Steele placed 14th (22:52.47) and Kelby Bruns placed 17th (23:46.25) and Kelly Willegal took 18th (23:59.02). For MVL, Faith Peters placed 10th (21:35.45) and Grace Peters finished 16th (23:31.31).
For the SM/SE/NUC girls, Emma Hagen took 11th (21:46.33), while Millie Lax took 14th (22:13.27).
