WABASSO — Wabasso swept Redwood Valley 25-12, 25-11, 25-18 in a nonconference volleyball match on Friday.
Kenley Guetter had 10 kills and four blocks for Wabasso, while Camryn Irlbeck had nine kills and three blocks. Audrey Johnson had 24 digs and an ace, and Sara Carlson had 31 set assists.
Wabasso (12-9) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday.

New Ulm 2, St. Peter 2
ST. PETER — New Ulm and St. Peter battled to a 2-2 draw Thursday in a Big South Conference boys soccer match.
Jackson Ocampo had a goal and an assist for New Ulm, while Levi Johnson had a goal and Austin Krohn had an assist and nine saves.
New Ulm (12-1-1, 4-1-1) hosts Orono on Saturday.

GFW girls take second at Redwood meet
REDWOOD FALLS — The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop girls took second out of six teams at a prep cross-country meet on Thursday.
Redwood Valley won the meet with 36 points, followed by GFW (96), Minnesota Valley Lutheran (104), Wabasso (115), Windom Area (133) and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
On the boys side, Redood Valley won (32), followed by Windom Area (57), Marshall (74), MVL (112), BOLD/BLH (187), Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (190) and ACGC.
For the GFW girls, Lucy Dvorak placed 10th (21:56.5) and Madyson Steele placed 11th (22:21). Kelly Willegal took 18th (23:41). For the MVL girls, Natalie Matzke placed fourth (20:06), while Faith Peters finished 13th (22:33). Wabasso’s Elise Leopold placed second (19:47).
On the boys side for MVL, Titus Kohls placed 15th (17:44), while Jeremy Feistner placed 17th (17:49). Wabasso’s Andrew Morin took second (16:55), and GFW’s Juan Sunsun-Perez placed 24th (18:24).
