ARLINGTON — The Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby feature was interesting Saturday as Johnathon Schroeder’s car got a bit hot and started on fire while going down the backstretch which ended his night as he had the same problem in his heat.

After that Mac Tollefson led the first few laps of the race until hardcharging Cory Probst got around him after starting in the eighth position. Tollefson held onto second place for eight laps but got shuffled back in the field and eventually went into the pit with troubles. The second place was then a battle between Brad Becker and Jordan Robinson with Robinson able to maneuver around Becker the final laps and take second behind Probst.

A red flag also came out on the third lap of the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact feature when the 29x of Jason Bolte’s car shut off in Turn 31 and newcomer Kiegan Werner had no where to go and hit him and then the 11 of Bubba Brown also got tangled up in the three-car accident. All cars were done for the night. That gave the lead to Alan Lahr who motored to the checkered flag with Josh Backstrom behind him in second and Justin Dose finishing in third place.

Jed Trebelhorn chose to race in the Olson Snowplowing & Lawn Care Outlaw class for the night as it was paying $1,000.00 to Win with extra money put in by the Olson’s. Trebelhorn took the lead right off and was a distance ahead until Dan Eckblad came from his second row start and blew past Trebelhorn as well as Craig Groebner. Eckblad was a half a lap ahead of the field while Garett Uecker was trying to catch him he was holding off Kris Flewelling too. The race went green to checkered with Eckblad taking the checkered first and Uecker taking second. Post-race a claim was executed and Eckblad refused therefore lost the win, money and trophy and it was awarded to Uecker.

The Arlington State Bank IMCA Sport Modified feature saw three different leaders. Matthew Schoenke was the leader for the first seven laps, then Joey Reimers took over the lead spot but that only lasted for four laps as Brody Enter was on a mission moving through the field from his ninth-place start to gain the lead and went onto win the race. Reimers remained in second with Tony Stephensmier taking third place.

Brett Allen had a clean sweep in the Rice Companies IMCA RaceSaver Sprint division for the night. He took the lead right off at the start of the feature and led the entire 15 laps to win the race. Neal Stevens took second ahead Owen Graf.

Dan Eckblad started on the pole position of the 21 car B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock car feature and led the first six laps of the feature but behind him he had a stellar group of drivers who wanted the spot. Brent Uecker was right behind him with Shaun Bruns and Curt Lund both moving through the field to challenge him. By lap seven, Lund had the lead and led the rest of the remaining 13 laps to win the race. Eckblad captured second and Josh Larsen took third.

The Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature saw Trent Loverude get around Jeremy Mills to take the lead with only 3 laps left. Mills had led the first 16 laps with Loverude following him and waiting for the opportunity to get around him. The race was fast with no caution flags and Loverude coming out ahead at the end.

The Jerry’s HQ Foods AutoCross saw Brett McConnell lead from start to finish in the 12 car field to win the race. Brother Nick was right behind him to take second and Hannah Buskey took third.

The EZ Wash & Storage Truck Cross saw Brian Alsleben lead the first three laps of the race until Cody Sievert moved up nine spots and took over the lead. He was able to distance himself from the field as lapped trucks became a factor. Sievert won with Ryan Kisor taking second and Alsleben held on for third.
