COURTLAND — The Courtland Cubs defeated the Leavenworth Orioles 9-4 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game on Wednesday.

Josh Giefer earned the win for Courtland, striking out three while allowing three runs on five hits in seven innings. At the plate, Chase Meyer, Jackson Bode and Teagan Kamm each had a home run for the Cubs, while Teddy Giefer was 2 for 4 with four RBIs.

Zach Kelly took the loss for Leavenworth, allowing four runs in four innings. Jackson Hurias led the Orioles at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a home run.

New Ulm 12, Searles 7

SEARLES — The New Ulm Brewers topped the Searles Grizzlies 12-7 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game on Wednesday.

Colten Schaefer earned the win for the Brewers, striking out two and allowing one runs on two hits in three innings pitched. At the plate, Cole Ranweiler was 4 for 5 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Sam Keckeisen was 2 for 6 with three RBIs and a run scored. Schaefer and JT Hoffmann each had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored, while Wade French had two hits and an RBI.

Casey Lux took the loss for Searles, striking out four while allowing nine earned runs on 13 hits in three innings pitched. At the plate, Isaiah rieser was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored while Tony Geiger was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Kasey Kuck was 2 for 5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runss cored Noah Wilmes had a home run, an RBI and two runs scored.

LAMBERTON — The Lamberton Long Sox defeted the Springfield Tigers 7-6 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game on Wednesday.

Brady Bierl earned the win for Lamberton, striking out five in 2 1/3 innings. Eli Fest made the start, striking out nine and allowing three runs on six hits in six innings. At the plate, Neil Eichten was 2 for 5 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Josh Altermatt had a hit and two RBIs. Eli Fest and Jake Wahl each had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Tori Helget took the loss for Springfield, striking out one and allowing three runs on four hits. Justin Haugo started, striking out four and allowing four unearned runs on seven hits in seven innings. At the plate, Jacob Poehler was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Tyler Dick had a hit and two RBIs. Ashtin Johnson had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.
