Sleepy Eye Legion Post 7 fall to St. Peter
ST. PETER — Sleepy Eye Legion Post 7 was unable to stop St. Peter on Wednesday night in a legion baseball game, falling 7-4.
Cole Eckstein got the start for Sleepy Eye on the mound and went three innings, allowing four hits and three walks for four runs, three earned, while striking out one.
St. Peter took a quick 4-0 lead in the first and kept Sleepy Eye off its heels throughout the rest of the game, allowing Sleepy Eye four single-run innings.
Kayden Klein led Post 7 at the plate, going 2 for 2 with an RBI, while Kessler Severson had a triple and Talan Helget had a double. Damian Sanchez added a hit and an RBI for Sleepy Eye.
Sleepy Eye is at Mankato National for another legion game Friday night.
