The All-Section 2A Baseball Team was announced this past weekend, with New Ulm Cathedral and Springfield leading the way in team members chosen.

Cathedral saw Jake Finstad, Colin Anderson, Alex Portner, Joey Schugel and Elliot Schabert named to the team, while Springfield had Kade Nachreiner, Jackson Ludewig, Noah Neperman, Russell Beers and Madden Lendt made the team.

Sleepy Eye has Carson Uecker, Cody Schultz, Kayden Klein and Landon Wendinger make the team, while Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s had Merrick Mathiowetz, Talan Helget and Tyler Mathiowetz named to the team.

Minnesota Valley Lutheran had Blake Sexton and Josh Vander Plas named to the team, while Madelia saw Zach Jacobs and Tate Becker named to the team. Cleveland’s Caleb Connor and Mankato Loyola’s TJ O’Malley, Cam Fogal and Eddie Engen completed the team.

Cathedral head coach Alan Woitas was named the Section 2A Baseball Coach of the Year.
