Tigers senior running back Gavin Vanderwerf passed 1,000 yards rushing for the season this past Saturday in a Section 3A semifinal game against Sleepy Eye United in Springfield.

Q: What is your

favorite food?

A: I’ve got to say a good, juicy steak and potatoes – a baked potato. [Steak] medium rare.

Q: What is your favorite scary movie?

A: My dad just loves scary movies, but I try to watch them with my girlfriend and she’s just not

about that.

Q: What is your

favorite candy?

A: The Reese’s pumpkins.

Q: What is a dream vacation of yours?

A: I want to go halibut fishing in Alaska. I feel like that’d be really fun.

Q: What is your favorite band/musical artist?

A: I like Luke Combs.
